Hey all! Trevy here; it's been a while since I posted here! Long enough that I had to blow the dust out of the site and scare a way a few rodents anyway.
This is more of a PSA and update than a real post; I decided to take a break from publishing updates when the new edition was released; for pretty obvious reasons. I'd like for my posts to be able to help out future players and they would lose relevance pretty quickly with the rules change, so I didn't see the point. As I'm writing this, Lock and Load 2016 is raging in Seattle so the wait for the new edition is soon to be over!
While I'd love to say that I'm going to be writing more regularly with the new edition unfortunately I can't promise that concretely; I will commit to try to write more and I'm sure I'll be able to put out some tournament reports and thoughts on new models as I get settled in to the new rules. What I can guarantee is that semi-regular updates on my YouTube channel are absolutely going to be back. Already I have some exciting plans for the start of the new edition, including plenty of new WotS Batreps using the new rules, a short video series demonstrating the differences between Mk2 and the new edition as well as some interviews and talks with other prominent players about our boys in blue!
The most exciting new announcement on the video front I can make is my participation in The Art of Wargaming, a premium subscription channel offering some of the best Warmachine and Hordes video content on the web! A collaborative project featuring some of the best content producers in the hobby; Jay Larsen, Charles Arrasmith, Will Pagani and Keith Christianson, The Art of Wargaming will feature weekly videos, recorded games and battle reports available to subscribers. I will be submitting monthly batreps in the style of those found on my YouTube channel and am very excited to be a part of the team! This does not mean that I won't keep making reports for my channel; instead I'm planning on stepping up production of my YouTube reports in the future, but if you want more videos in that style consider subscribing to The Art of Wargaming. I'll post more information about the project as it is made available.
In the interest of bringing my archive up to date with the new edition, I'll be going over my existing content and demarcating old articles and videos from the previous edition. All my videos and tournament reports will still be available, but I'm going to be starting the Tournament Batrep Database from scratch using only videos from the new edition. I may also make this a cross-Faction endeavor not simply restricted to Cygnar. I'll dive more into that later.
So in the meantime; stay tuned this weekend and in the near future for more video content from me, and enjoy Mk3! Keep it classy, folks!
